It may be that the incomprehensible governmental responses to the comparatively minor threat posed by COVID have effectively ended any significant free-thinking sentiment among the mass of the world’s population.

These days, at least stateside, if you disagree with egregious and dangerous government intrusion you are immediately labeled as ‘racist’ and a ‘right wing conspiracy theorist’ etc. ad nauseum.

It doesn’t bode well.
